Intro

At NexWafe, we are developing a pioneering process to produce silicon wafers with fewer process steps, resulting in significant savings in production costs, energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.

For our location in Freiburg in Breisgau, we are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer (m/f/d) to join our ProCon Engineering Team and help drive the transition from R&D to pilot production for our APCVD tool.

Your Mission

Lead the development and optimization of the APCVD pilot production tool and processes.
Plan, execute, and analyze experiments to improve process stability, yield, and cost efficiency.
Develop and continuously improve work instructions, SOPs, and documentation for pilot and production use.
Collaborate closely with the design engineering team to identify and implement machine improvements.
Interface with the characterization team to validate process results and drive data-based decision-making.
Work with the maintenance team to resolve technical issues across equipment and process levels.
Ensure alignment with safety, quality, and operational standards throughout development activities.

Your profile

Degree in Physics, Chemistry, or related field.
6–8 years of industrial experience as a production engineer or R&D specialist.
Strong background in one or more deposition technologies: ALD, CVD, PECVD, epitaxy.
Clear and effective communication skills across cross-functional teams.
Fluent in English; German is a plus.
